What I respect most about Wale and Gbenga is their authenticity in music expression. They both write and perform in a manner true to who they are without apology or pretensions. This I believe is one of the most important things when the purpose of music is to facilitate praise and worship.

Last Sunday (19th November 2017) both of them were on stage at Gbenga’s WorshipWays event and I must say I was truly blessed by the experience in many ways.
For me, it was the first time after a long time to once again be part of the music they create and the atmosphere of praise and worship that they lead – attending rehearsals, getting involved in the front of house mix and even joining the band to play two songs with Wale. While it got me reminiscing about the past, more importantly it reminded me ever so vividly of the future we are meant to create.
For in him we live, move and have our being.
